Daniel Binkley serves as Vice President of Rufus Johnson Associates and brings more than 25 years of combined experience in architecture and commercial construction across both the public and private sectors. His career path has provided a well-rounded perspective shaped by hands-on construction experience, architectural practice, and service on the client side of public-sector project delivery.
Before entering the architecture profession, Daniel worked in commercial construction, gaining practical field experience that continues to inform his work today. He later studied architecture while working in the profession and, upon returning to Clarksville, joined RJA as a Project Architect. In 2009, he transitioned to the public sector, where he served the City of Clarksville in the planning and oversight of capital projects. That experience as an owner’s representative gave him a valuable understanding of client needs, expectations, budgets, and the importance of thoughtful project execution.
Daniel rejoined RJA in 2014, when he was offered partnership in the firm. Today, he helps lead the firm while guiding projects with a strong focus on quality, function, and client service. His background in construction and public-sector project delivery gives him a deep appreciation for well-coordinated construction documents, practical design solutions, and the collaboration required for successful outcomes.
